Update to National Construction Code 2022

As of the 1st of May 2025, Amendment 1 for the National Construction Codes (NCC) 2022 comes into effect, bringing changes to the performance requirements of gutters, downpipes, energy efficiency, among other things. Building Permit Applications received from here on out will be assessed against the NCC 2022 inclusive of Amendment 1 changes.

Building Permits issued prior to 1st of May 2025, or were under assessment prior to 1st of May 2025, will not be required to alter their proposals to comply with Amendment 1.
