Lake Grace War Memorial Olympic Swimming Pool

The Lake Grace Public War Memorial Olympic Pool is located on Bishop Street, Lake Grace, adjacent to the Council Administration Centre and the Lake Grace Recreation Grounds. It is a social hub for community members young and old during the summer months, from November through to March, and it also hosts the annual Australia Day Breakfast celebration, in conjunction with the Lake Grace Lions Club.

The complex has a 50 metre Olympic-sized swimming pool, complete with 2 toddler/infant pools, BBQ facilities, playground equipment, toilets with disabled access and change rooms.

Pool passes are available from Shire of Lake Grace Reception or a pay-as-you-go facility is also available.

Users can either pay per entry, or pay for a Season Ticket to gain unlimited entry for that season.

Newdegate Swimming Pool

The Newdegate Swimming Pool is located on Mitchell Street alongside the Newdegate Primary School.

The complex has sports a 25 metre-long pool, 12 metres wide and with 6 lanes. The shallow side starts at 1 metre depth and this gradually drops to 1.8 metres on the deep end. There is also a 3.6 metre diving bowl at the deep end.

Other facilities include children/toddler pool, toilets, change room facilities and various shaded and grassed areas.

The Pool is unsupervised and users are expected to be responsible in their usage of the facilities.

Applying for Access

As there is no lifeguard on duty when the Pool is open, prospective users will need to apply for an electronic key to gain access to the Pool and facilities. This is done by arranging a site induction with the pool manager through the Newdegate Primary School and providing evidence of a current Senior First Aid Certificate. Once you have passed those requirements you are required to pay a fee to the Shire to have your electronic key activated (the fee amount is below).

Keyholders may bring only a single visitor with them when using the Pool. Visitors in this way are encouraged to pay an entry fee into the Honesty Box.

Opening Times - 2023/24

The Swimming Pool is open 7 days a week, except on Christmas Day. Access is only granted to those who have an electronic key.

Opening hours are: 6:00 am to 7:00 pm
